About The Practice

high pastures

High Pastures currently serves a list size of over 11,000 patients, most of who live in Maghull immediately to the North of Liverpool.

The practice is largely commuter belt and is situated in a suburban area. The majority of families are middle class.

Whilst most patients live in Maghull and its adjacent sister town of Lydiate, the Practice extends along the main A59 road to include Aughton and part of Ormskirk. The main road stretches from Maghull to Southport.  Patients who reside in Downholland, Haskayne and Halsall are also incorporated in the Practice. In these outlying areas, there is a sizeable farming community. We no longer accept new patients from these areas.

Patients are, on the whole, well informed and fairly organised and motivated in self-care.

High Pastures is a five partner Practice. Three of the GP's work full time and two work .75 time.  Each has their own personal list of patients with flexibility for holidays and half days etc.
