High Pastures Surgery develop website as part of the GP Website Project

This innovative new website, designed as part of the GP Website Project, aims to give the local community information about the services that the practice offers and the members of the practice who strive to bring you those services.

The website brings together a comprehensive list of services offered by the practice with times and booking information. It also provides full contact details and interactive maps provided by Google, so a patient can plan and print out directions, find information on bus routes and plan journeys through the Merseytravel website. The site also provides information on out of hours services, local walk in centres and NHS Direct.

Health information

The site provides health information on various conditions such as Heart Disease, Diabetes and Asthma, with links to local and national sites, as well as online leaflets about the conditions written from a patient perspective. The site groups health websites into useful subgroups for lifestyle, age and sex and common conditions such as burns, or a sore throat.

Online Services

The practice offers online services were the patient can request repeat prescriptions, travel vaccinations and inform the practice of a change of personal details.

GP Website Project

This innovative website is part of a NHS project by Informatics Merseyside. The aim of the project is to produce websites in accordance with NHS guidelines and aims to provide practices with a professional, easy to follow, patient-focused presence on the internet.
