7 day services
You can now see a Healthcare Professional (GP, Physiotherapist, Advanced Nurse Practitioner, Practice Nurse ) in the evenings ( 5- 8 pm ) , weekends (10am-1pm) and Bank Holidays. This is for health problems that you would normally be seen at the GP practice. This service is run by South Sefton 7 day Extended Access Service
The service is provided at Litherland Town Hall, Hatton Hill Road, Litherland, L21 9JN
Please note that this is not an urgent care service or drop-in-centre.
All appointments must be pre-booked through your own GP Practice.
GP Practices will be able to see what appointments are available through their EMIS systems, appointment availability will vary as diary slots are booked. The service will offer additional resource when needed, allowing GP practices more time to focus on the often complex and long term needs of patients.
The 7 Day Access Service provides additional GP Surgery appointments over and above those offered by a patient’s own practice
Anyone who is registered with a GP Surgery in South Sefton can book a routine appointment
This service will have access to your medical records so the Healthcare Professional who deals with you will be aware of your medical conditions, listed allergies , repeat medications etc . There is data sharing agreement in place to ensure your information is safely and confidentially shared
**Please note the service currently does have some inevitable capacity and access restrictions due to the Covid-19 Pandemic . You will be assessed (triaged) over the phone by the service before you are offered a Face-to-Face appointment

- You are happy to see any suitable Clinician for your problem
- The service offers extra capacity to that at the surgery
This service is run from Litherland and offers
- Physiotherapy face to face appointments (after a triage phone call and advice)
- Practice Nurse appointments (for cervical smears and other health needs)
- Advanced Nurse Practitioner (prescribing ) for general primary care health problems
- GP appointments
