Flu Jab Information

High Pastures Surgery Flu Clinic information for the 2020 season

The flu season has been very different this year compared to other years at High Pastures Surgery.

Normally we would have two large flu clinics the first two Saturdays in October, where the vast majority of our eligible patients attend and are immunized.

Several factors have caused us problems this year, the COVID-19 Pandemic, the NHS England guidelines on who we should vaccinate first, the staggered deliveries of the actual vaccinations and the need for moving venue due to social distancing government guidelines which would be virtually impossible to meet if the clinics were held in the surgery.

You are of course entitled to get the flu vaccination at your local pharmacy if you prefer. The pharmacist may charge for this depending on your circumstances.

These appointments are booked by a member of the practice team, via Telephone call or Text message to patients in high risk groups detailed in Phase 2 above.

Please let us know if you cannot attend so that we can offer the appointment to another patient.

We plan to continue these clinics throughout October and November.
